MJ Abbott

Land drainage for agriculture and pipelines

Services

Experience in agricultural land drainage spanning 50 years

MJ Abbott’s experience in agricultural land drainage spans more than 50 years, to a time before the introduction of perforated plastic pipes, when clay tiles were used to form the primary drainage pipelines in both arable land and pasture.

Thankfully technology has developed over the years, and modern drainage machines are highly sophisticated, with levels controlled by automatic laser systems and able to install the perforated carrier or lateral pipe and the gravel backfill in one continuous operation.

We are very experienced in installing agricultural land drainage, both primary systems and secondary moling and subsoiling operations. We also carry out ditch clearance and construct outfall structures.

We have carried out a number of pre- and post-construction drainage schemes for pipelines.
