MJ Abbott gears up for long-term growth

Following a strong recovery from the coronavirus pandemic, the MJ Abbott Group has strengthened its senior leadership team and updated its corporate structure to enable it to make the most of the growth opportunities ahead.

Mick Regan has been appointed Managing Director, taking over from Jonathan Abbott who retains responsibility at director level for the company’s Direct Sales and HS Pipe sales activities, as well as advising on contract and strategic matters.

In addition, three of the company’s senior contracts managers have been promoted to director level: Nathan George, Adrian Riggs and Graham Humphries.

The new board of directors now comprises:

• Andrew Leah – Finance Director
• Jonathan Abbott – Director (Sales & HS)
• Adrian Abbott – Technical Director
• Steve Briggs – Contracts Director (Golf)
• Jim Price – Contracts Director (Irrigation)
• Nathan George – Contracts Director (Sports)
• Adrian Riggs – Contracts Director (Water/Civil/Sewer)
• Graham Humphries – Contracts Director (Landscape)

The corporate restructure saw the shares of MJ Abbott Ltd acquired by a new holding company, MJ Abbott Holdings Ltd, which is owned by the new board of directors.
