MJ Abbott’s director Adrian Riggs was recently invited by Grundfos Pumps to visit their SP factory in Bjerringbro, Denmark, world headquarters and home of Grundfos.
Grundfos Pumps was established in 1945 by the late Poul Due Jensen in the cellar of his home in Bjerringbro. Adrian is pictured standing by the first ever pump manufactured by Grundfos (formerly the Bjerringbro Die-Casting Foundry and Machine Factory), known as ‘The Pig’ because of its design. The company changed its name to Grundfos Pumps in 1967.
Grundfos is now one of the world’s leaders in pumping technology, and a key supplier to MJ Abbott of pumps for water supply and irrigation.
