Large fleet of specialist trenching and ploughing equipment

With one of the largest fleets of specialist trenching and ploughing equipment in the UK, MJ Abbott knows a thing or two about trenching to lay pipes and cables.

We operate rock wheel trenchers, vibrating tracked pipe ploughs and a fleet of tracked chain excavators. We also have specialist wheeled and tracked gravel and sand carts to ensure the ploughs and trenchers keep moving.

We have experience in laying high voltage cables, fibre optics and water pipes for a variety of clients across the UK.

The latest addition to our fleet is our new CAT D6T Dozer fitted with a BRON vibrating plough for the installation of pipes, cables and fibre to depths of up to 1200mm. The machine is fitted with a pipe/cable chute to place the services in the ground, under non-tension, and with a hopper to place gravel or sand at the same time. Depending on which services are being laid, a warning marker tape is automatically laid above the services.
