MJ Abbott’s extensive skills transfer seamlessly from golf and sports turf construction, drainage and water management to soft and hard landscaping. We work closely with you and your consultants to design and engineer your landscaping project. Our practical approach and significant resources ensure that we are able to work in the most challenging of site conditions.

Environmental works

MJ Abbott offers a comprehensive service for all types of environmental work. Our experienced project managers supported by skilled in-house personnel and specialist machinery are able to provide a sensitive approach to any project. We have relationships with specialist environmental and ecological consultants whom we can call on for advice.

We specialise in country park and nature reserve creation, expansion and improvement. Our expertise encompasses natural habitats, wetlands, reed beds, meadow areas, drainage water management including attenuation, bird hides and boardwalks, translocation of valuable plant species and grassland regeneration.

Ponds, lakes & reservoirs

We offer a complete design and construction service, from small private ornamental ponds to large water storage reservoirs. We carry out cut and fill earthworks, water abstraction and infill solutions, aeration, lake lining and underliner drainage; construction of bridges, weirs, overflows, spillways, jetties and decorative pond edging; and dredging, pond clearance and pond re-establishment.

Landscape engineering

MJ Abbott are experts in hard and soft landscaping and engineering structures for landscape applications. Our range of specialist services includes: play parks and trim trails; reinforced grass areas, car parks and access roads, cycle paths and footpaths; all types of fencing; storm drainage management including feature ditching; brickwork, stonework and paving; feature and utility lighting; private and public garden work; tree and shrub planting; and earthworks, topsoil respread, cultivations, seeding, and turfing.
