Warwickshire County Cricket Club, Edgbaston

MJ Abbott was contracted by the main contractor, cricket specialists Steven Pask Ltd, to install a new irrigation system at Edgbaston during refurbishment of the playing surface. MJ Abbott designed and specified the system.

The scope of work included:

• 21m³/hr pump station designed and manufactured by MJ Abbott, with pump suction from existing water tank
• Installation of mainlines pipework and replacement irrigation to the entire cricket outfield area and square
• The system utilises Rain Bird irrigation equipment
• The system includes Rain Bird MDC wall mounted control system and radio remote control.

MJ Abbott continues to maintain the irrigation system.
