Verulam Golf Club, Hertfordshire

MJ Abbott secured the contract to install a new irrigation system at Verulam Golf Club following a tender and interview process. The irrigation design and tender process was undertaken by Adrian Mortram of Robin Hume Associates.

The scope of work included:

• 150m³ Vulcan water storage tank complete with new mains water feed pipework
• 24m³/hr pump station designed and manufactured by MJ Abbott
• Installation of mainlines pipework and replacement irrigation to greens, approaches, green surrounds and tees
• The system utilises Toro irrigation equipment
• The system includes Toro GDC Site Pro control system, weather station and radio remote control.

MJ Abbott continues to maintain the irrigation system.
