The Duke's Course, St Andrews, Scotland

With a spectacular setting above St Andrews, The Duke's gives magnificent panoramic views of the surrounding countryside to the sea.

MJ Abbott secured the contract to reconstruct the course through submission of a competitive tender.

The design work was carried out by US golf course architect Tim Liddy.

The project involved the following scope of work:

• Remodelling of bunkers and fairway mounding
• Construction of greens, tees and bunkers within 6 no holes, including all necessary preparation and seeding works
• Construction of new cart paths and drystone walls
• Design and installation of primary piped drainage system
• Design and installation of fully automatic irrigation system.

The Duke's is a "must play" course for any golfer visiting St Andrews, the Home of Golf.
