Construction of stadium pitch at Parc y Scarlets
The scope of work included for the construction of the stadium pitch at the new Parc Y Scarlets Stadium. The project was designed and monitored by Jonathan Smith of GeoTurf and MJ Abbott were employed by the main contractor, Inscapes of Bridgend.
MJ Abbott carried out the following scope of works:
- Cut and fill earthworks and camber grading using a laser controlled dozer
- Installation of primary piped drainage system with laterals at 5 metres centres
- Installation of fully automatic Rain Bird irrigation system complete with storage tank and pump station
- Installation of gravel carpet and lower rootzone layer
- Installation of the upper rootzone, cultivation and seeding was carried out by Inscapes.
