Saunton Golf Club, North Devon

MJ Abbott secured the contract to install a new irrigation system at Saunton Golf Club following a tender and interview process. The irrigation system design and tender process was managed by Giles Wardle of Irriplan.

The scope of work included:

• 60m³/hr pump station manufactured by MJ Abbott, with pump suction from existing reservoir
• Installation of transfer pump and pipework from additional water storage reservoir
• Installation of mainlines pipework and replacement irrigation to greens, approaches, greens surrounds, fairways and tees to both the East and West Courses
• The system utilises Rain Bird irrigation equipment
• The system includes the Rain Bird Nimbus 2 control system and radio remote control.

MJ Abbott continues to maintain the irrigation system.
