Salisbury & South Wilts Golf Club, Wiltshire

MJ Abbott secured the contract to install a new irrigation system at Salisbury & South Wilts Golf Club following a tender and interview process. The irrigation system design and tender process was undertaken by Stuart Tate of York Martin International Ltd.

The scope of work included:

• Fabrication of timber combined halfway hut / pumphouse
• 29m³/hr at 15.5 bar pressure pump station designed and manufactured by MJ Abbott
• Installation of mainlines pipework and replacement irrigation to greens, approaches and tees to the 18 hole Cathedral Course and the 9 hole Bibury Course
• The system utilises Rain Bird irrigation equipment
• The system includes the Rain Bird Stratus 2 control system and radio remote control.

MJ Abbott continues to maintain the irrigation system.
