MJ Abbott were appointed by Royal Wimbledon Golf Club to carry out the re-alignment works to Holes 1 and 18.

The project architect was Hawtree Ltd.

The scope of work included:

• New 18th Green complex complete with surround bunkering and feature swales; the work included cut and fill earthworks and shaping, drainage, rootzone placement, irrigation installation and turfing of the entire complex
• Bulk cut and fill earthworks and finishing to create new feature mounding between Holes 1 and 18
• Construction of new 18th Tee complex incorporating large scale earthworks, drainage, irrigation, rootzone placement, turfing and seeding
• Construction of new fairway bunker complex within Hole 18.
