MJ Abbott Limited were contacted by the client to investigate an existing sewage treatment plant which was producing some very unpleasant odours. The client’s usual service engineers could find no issue with the plant, and had resorted to sticking down the manhole covers with sealant mastic to try to combat the problem.

MJ Abbott's engineer soon diagnosed that the existing plant was not aerating sufficiently and bacterial growth was not prevalent, instead the additional air was simply blowing the septic smell out of the plant. With spares unavailable, the client requested that the plant was replaced as soon as possible.

MJ Abbott recommended the Rewatec Solido sewage treatment system, and installation took place immediately. Difficult access to the site via a narrow country lane, and very limited space for tipping spoils, meant that the logistics of the job had to be planned very carefully.

Our client was delighted with the completed installation.
