Poult Wood Golf Centre, Tonbridge, Kent

MJ Abbott secured the contract to install a new irrigation system at Poult Wood Golf Centre following a stringent tender process managed by the client, Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council. The irrigation system design and specification was carried out by MJ Abbott.

The scope of work included:

• 130m³ galvanised water storage tank, painted green
• Timber pumphouse fabricated and installed by MJ Abbott
• 28m³/hr pump station designed and manufactured by MJ Abbott
• Installation of mainlines pipework and replacement irrigation to greens, approaches and tees over 27 holes of golf.
• The system utilises Rain Bird irrigation equipment 
• The system includes the Rain Bird Stratus 2 control system and radio remote control.
