Plymouth Argyle Football Club

The scope of work included for the reconstruction of the Home Park pitch surface. The work was specified by the STRI. MJ Abbott was contracted by the main contractor, Inscapes of South Wales.

MJ Abbott carried out the following scope of works:

• Excavation and removal of existing pitch topsoil layer and off site removal
• Cut and fill earthworks to form new pitch levels
• Installation of primary drainage system
• Installation of fully automatic Rain Bird irrigation system complete with new pump station and water storage tank
• Import and spread gravel carpet and lower sand layer
• Laying the Fibrelastic surface and final cultivation and seeding was carried out by Inscapes.

MJ Abbott continue to provide technical support for the irrigation system.
