Construction of new main pitch
MJ Abbott secured the contract to construct a new main rugby pitch for Old Reigatians RUFC following submission of a competitive tender.
The project was designed and managed by John Hacker of sports turf consultants PSD.
The scope of work comprised:
- Topsoil strip
- Cut & fill earthworks to create new main pitch
- Topsoil re-spread
- Installation of primary land drainage system
- Cultivate and seed pitch
- Carry out maintenance operations for 12 months.
Following successful completion of the main pitch construction, we tendered for and were awarded the contract to install pitch floodlighting for the training pitch at the same site. To read about this project, follow this link.
