North Lincolnshire Council, Scunthorpe

The scope of work included for the re-construction of 2 no six lane bowling greens.

The work was successfully tendered and was carried out for the client, North Lincolnshire Council.

MJ Abbott carried out the following scope of works:

• Strip the existing bowling green surfaces and remove spoil off site to tip
• Form new graded sub base and surrounds
• Installation of secondary drainage system in the form of gravel banding
• Import and spread rootzone, compact, grade and prepare for turfing
• Apply pre-turf fertiliser and supply and lay fescue/bent turf to surface
• Reinstate all access routes.

Since the reconstruction, MJ Abbott has carried out maintenance work on the greens.
