Installation of Anua Platinum sewage treatment plant
Working in conjunction with the architects already employed by the school, MJ Abbott Limited were commissioned to install a new sewage treatment plant to treat the effluent generated by the shower blocks of the school.
An Anua Platinum sewage treatment plant was specified by the architects, and installation was undertaken within a heavy tree lined area.
The scope of works comprised:
- Installation of Anua 40 pop Platinum sewage treatment plant
- Hydraulic beam and trench sheets used to support the unstable ground during excavation
- Installation of mains water supply with bib tap for washdown
- Installation of GRP control kiosk to house control gear and compressors
- Installation of separate pump chamber to pump treated effluent to a soakaway
- Electrical connection works by MJ Abbott electrical engineers to NICEIC standards.
Following the completion of the works to a tight schedule and within budget, the sewage treatment plant now has an annual maintenance programme to ensure efficient operation.
