MCC, Lord's Cricket Ground, London

MJ Abbott were awarded the contract to carry out alterations to the irrigation system at Lord's following recommendation by the MCC's preferred grounds contractor, cricket specialists Steven Pask Ltd.

The scope of work included:

• Removal and relocation of existing pipework and sprinklers to accommodate the extension to the square constructed by Steven Pask
• Installation of replacement solenoid and isolation valves for the entire irrigation system to the outfield and the square
• Upgrade of the control system PC for the existing Gemini/Trident controller.

MJ Abbott has now taken over responsibility for the annual maintenance of the irrigation system at Lord's, including provision of MJ Abbott's full remote support package.
