Harewood Downs Golf Club, Buckinghamshire

MJ Abbott were awarded the contract to reconstruct 7 no greens and 1 no tee following submission of a competitive tender.

The golf course architect was Simon Gidman, with project management by George Shiels of McMillan-Shiels Associates.

The project included the following scope of work:

• Reconstruction of Greens 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 12 and 13.
• The reconstruction work work included cut and fill earthworks, re-shaping sub base and surrounds to the architect's designs, installation of new drainage, gravel layer and rootzone, and preparation and turfing.
• Construction of 15 no new associated greens and approach bunkers.
• Construction of new 3rd Tees including cut and fill earthworks, drainage, rootzone installation, preparation and turfing.
• Installation of fully automatic irrigation to newly constructed areas.
