Hampshire Cricket, The Rose Bowl, Southampton

Working with cricket specialists Steven Pask Ltd, MJ Abbott installed a new irrigation system at the Rose Bowl, the home of Hampshire Cricket. The irrigation system design was undertaken by Roger Davey of Irritech.

The scope of work included:

• 19m³/hr pump station designed and manufactured by MJ Abbott, with pump suction from the existing water tank
• Installation of mainlines pipework and replacement irrigation to the entire cricket outfield area
• The system utilises Rain Bird irrigation equipment 
• The system includes Rain Bird SiteControl control system, weather station and radio remote control.

MJ Abbott continues to maintain the irrigation system.
