Ffos Las Racecourse, South Wales

MJ Abbott secured the contract to install a new irrigation system during the construction of Ffos Las Racecourse following a tender and interview process. The irrigation design was carried out by Roger Davey of Irritech.

The scope of work included:

• Installation of 180mm diameter mainlines pipework and fire hydrants around the perimeter of the race track
• All pipework was installed in trenches excavated using MJ Abbott's rock wheel trencher
• All pipework features sand backfill and surround
• Design, fabrication and installation of bespoke pump station
• Floating suction arrangement from reservoir.
