Copt Heath Golf Club, Solihull, West Midlands

MJ Abbott were awarded the contract to install a new irrigation system at Copt Heath Golf Club following a tender and interview process. The irrigation design and tender process was undertaken by Giles Wardle of Irriplan.

Carried out in two separate phases over consecutive years, the scope of work included:

• 45m³/hr pump station designed and manufactured by MJ Abbott
• 390m³ capacity water storage tank
• Installation of mainlines pipework and replacement irrigation to greens, approaches, tees and fairways
• The system utilises Rain Bird irrigation equipment
• The system includes the Rain Bird Stratus 2 IC control system and Rain Bird MI remote control.

MJ Abbott continues to maintain the irrigation system.
