BI-Adapter® Flexible Pipe Connection
For connections between pipes with similar internal diameters but different external diameters
The BI-Adapter® can be used to establish a reliable connection between pipes with similar internal diameters and widely different external diameters. It does not matter if the pipe has a socket or a flat base. The BI-Adapter® is suitable for all common pipe materials and is easy to assemble. It can be used in combination with the VPC® flexible pipe coupler and can be used for the connection of pipes with non-circular outer geometry.
The BI-Adapter® consists of an inner stainless steel sleeve, a sealing EPDM collar and an expanding wedge of stainless steel. After insertion into the pipe, the EPDM-jacketed sleeve is expanded by inserting the wedge to the edges of the pipe, and several ring shaped sealing ribs ensure a tight connection.
Available for pipe diameters from DN150 to DN600.
