WRc SfA7 workshops a huge success for MJ Abbott and Funke

The purpose of the workshops, held in Cardiff, London and Manchester, was to clarify the changes in legislation introduced in the new 7th Edition of Sewers for Adoption (SfA7). One of the key changes in the document is the inclusion of design guidance for smaller drain and sewer systems near to buildings, which have not previously been adopted. The changes are therefore some of the biggest changes made to SfA for many years.

The workshops and associated exhibitions were very well attended at all three locations by a wide range of visitors from water utility companies, housing associations, private developers, designers, consultants, and groundworkers.

MJ Abbott was exhibiting at the workshops alongside Funke Gruppe of Germany, manufacturers of the FABEKUN® Junction. Nigel Pritchard, Direct Sales Manager for MJ Abbott, was joined by Karl Diekel, Export Sales Manager for Funke Gruppe. There was a great deal of interest in the FABEKUN® Junctions and HS® Boundary Demarcation Chambers manufactured by Funke, available in the UK exclusively through MJ Abbott.

The workshops were such a success, with both the London and Manchester events oversubscribed, that WRc is considering holding further events before the end of December, possibly at WRc head office in Swindon and in the north east of England.
