Specialist sports turf contractor, MJ Abbott Limited, reports a busy end-of-year period, taking advantage of the good weather in the south of the country by continuing with lake construction/re-establishment and landscaping works at private residences at Bear Ash, near Reading, Berkshire and at Nutbourne Park, near Guildford, Surrey.
The firm has also completed recently a primary land drainage installation at Torquay Golf Club and the construction of a sports pitch for King Edward VI Community College, also in Devon.
A full winter’s programme of irrigation installations is now underway with contracts scheduled for Broadstone Golf Club, Dorset; Verulam Golf Club, Hertfordshire; Chipping Sodbury Golf Club, South Gloucestershire; North Hants Golf Club, Fleet, Hampshire; and Addington Palace Golf Club, near Croydon, Surrey.
Remodelling projects at Jersey’s La Moye Golf Club and at Royal Wimbledon Golf Club, south London, were completed by the company in December with course works at Effingham Golf Club, Surrey, set to commence in February.
MJ Abbott has been busy also on civil and water supply contracts secured close to the firm’s base near Salisbury, Wiltshire.
