The Open all set to tee off at Muirfield

The scope of the project included:

• 400m³ Vulcan water storage tank complete with new borehole transfer pipework
• 98m³/hr pump station designed and manufactured by MJ Abbott
• New timber pumphouse manufactured and installed by MJ Abbott
• Installation of mainlines pipework and replacement irrigation to greens, approaches, greens surrounds, tees, walkways and connections into existing fairway watering
• The irrigation equipment manufacturer specified was Rain Bird, utilising decoder based technology.
• The system includes Rain Bird Nimbus 2 control system and weather station.

MJ Abbott continues to support and maintain the irrigation system.
