MJ Abbott's new Volvo low loader takes to the road
Leading sports turf contractor MJ Abbott Limited has upgraded its Volvo low loader to the latest model, which offers more power, increased torque and improved fuel economy over the previous version, together with improvements in driver comfort.

MJ Abbott's low loader unit is critical to its contracting operations, ensuring that plant and machinery is in the right place at the right time, anywhere in the country.
MJ Abbott has relied on Volvo to supply its flagship truck for more than 10 years, and the new Volvo FH13 6x2 Tractor Unit was specified with the D13C 500hp Euro V engine, offering an increase in power of 20hp and increased torque of 100Nm over the previous model, along with a 3% improvement in fuel economy.
The unit, supplied by Volvo trucks dealer MC Truck & Bus of Southampton, also has the latest i-Shift 12-speed gearbox for ease of operation and the Globetrotter cab for ultimate driver comfort.
The truck replaces MJ Abbott's previous Volvo FH13 model, which had offered sterling service for four years.
