MJ Abbott employee celebrates 40 years of service
MJ Abbott's current longest-serving employee, Peter Jay (known as PJ), reached the significant milestone of 40 years' service at the end of June. The occasion was marked by a celebratory lunch with Peter and his wife Jan.

PJ has been a key member of MJ Abbott's local civil engineering team for many years, is an expert 360 excavator driver and never happier than when on his machine digging reservoirs, shaping banks and working his magic on the landscape.
Several directors of MJ Abbott, including the founder Mike Abbott, hosted PJ, his wife Jan and several of his colleagues for a lunch at a renowned local gastro pub to mark his 40 years' service.
Managing Director, Jonathan Abbott, commented: "PJ has been a loyal and hardworking employee, and a key member of our local civils team over many years with MJ Abbott, and it was only right that we should mark this magnificent milestone of 40 years' service."
