MJ Abbott drains team avoids digging up a customer's patio

MJ Abbott were called to a site by a private customer near Warminster, suffering from a blocked drain. After attending promptly, our team found that the old clay drain had suffered longitudinal and circumferential cracking, allowing root ingress through the individual joints.

This was initially ‘root cut’ using our special root cutting head on the jetting nozzle to clear the pipe. The disjointed pipe was then re-lined with a 17m long resin liner to create a new smooth inner ‘pipe within a pipe’. This ensures the pipe can be used for many more years without the fear of further blockage. The works were completed in a morning and avoided having to carry out disruptive and costly excavation to the customer’s garden and patio.
