"The fine weather in May and June helped us get off to a flying start, and we have maintained excellent progress despite the showers in July and August," commented Nathan. "We are currently on schedule to get the natural turf pitches seeded in the next few weeks, while work continues on the artificial pitch, the floodlighting and the landscaping around the site."

The project will provide London Irish with a top class training facility on the doorstep of their spiritual home of Sunbury in West London.

The scheme includes the construction of 17 new training pitches on a redundant golf course site, including a state of the art artificial pitch, drainage, irrigation, landscaping and provision of floodlighting.

The project is scheduled for completion later this year, with the pitches being brought into play in Summer 2014.
