BTME 2013 a huge success for MJ Abbott

Steve Briggs, Contracts Director at golf construction specialists MJ Abbott, confirmed that the company had a very successful show in 2013.

"Our stand was busy throughout the entire show," says Steve. "Despite 2013 being the biennial smaller event where the major machinery manufacturers do not exhibit, many of our colleagues in the turf industry took the opportunity to leave the snow at home and visit the show. We had plenty of interest on all three days, with Wednesday being especially busy."

"We had lots of interest in our MJ Abbott Direct web shop, and many entries for our prize draw," continued Steve. "We also had a very successful press call on Wednesday afternoon to promote our unique golf bunker drainage device, Bunker Plug, where we announced the sale of a significant number of Bunker Plug units to the Evian Resort on the banks of Lake Geneva, the prestigious venue of the Evian Masters golf tournament, following the specification of Bunker Plug for bunker construction on the project by the golf course architects European Golf Design."

"On top of this, we received a number of new enquiries for a variety of projects for the coming year, which made all the hard work we put in to planning the show very worthwhile," added Steve. "We need to get back to the office now to start following up all the leads!"

MJ Abbott will be making the draw for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7" on Monday 28th January.
