Project summary
New irrigation for Hampshire's test cricket venue
MJ Abbott installed a new irrigation system at the Ageas Bowl, the home of Hampshire Cricket. The irrigation system design was undertaken by Roger Davey of Irritech.
The scope of work included:
- 19m³/hr pump station designed and manufactured by MJ Abbott, with pump suction from the existing water tank
- Installation of mainlines pipework and replacement irrigation to the entire cricket outfield area
- The system utilises Rain Bird irrigation equipment
- The system includes Rain Bird SiteControl control system, weather station and radio remote control.
MJ Abbott continues to maintain the irrigation system.
