New Rain Bird irrigation system for England's finest downland golf course
MJ Abbott secured the contract to install a new irrigation system at Effingham Golf Club following a tender and interview process. The irrigation system design and tender process was carried out by Roger Davey of Irritech.
The scope of work included:
- 28m³/hr pump station designed and manufactured by MJ Abbott
- 174m³ capacity water storage tank
- Installation of mainlines pipework and replacement irrigation to greens, approaches, greens surrounds and tees
- The system utilises Rain Bird irrigation equipment
- The system includes the Rain Bird Stratus 2 control system.
MJ Abbott continues to support the irrigation system.
