Are you a technically strong accountant with a passion for delivering accurate financial reporting? This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic finance team. Working closely with the financial controller, you’ll play a vital role in providing accurate, timely financial information to support confident decision making across the senior management team.
Key responsibilities
- Produce accurate, timely management accounts and reports for senior leadership
- Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, VAT returns and audit preparation
- Maintain robost financial controls, processes and compliance standards
- Manage and develop the accounts team, supporting their ongoing performance and growth
- Oversee cash handling, intercompany transactions and banking processes
- Support budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis
- Build strong relationships with operational teams and provide clear financial guidance
- Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
We are looking for someone who is proactive and detail-driven- someone who loves getting stuck in but can also see the bigger picture.
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
- Audit background with group clients is highly desirable
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Advanced Excel skills with confidence handling large data sets and reporting tools
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail with strong organisational skills
- Proactive approach to improving processes and driving efficiency
